Ensuring quality at every level

L-3 TRL is a company that has always had a strong customer focus; producing high quality products while working at the cutting edge of technology. Quality assurance is at the heart of all L-3 TRL activity and this has resulted in a strong quality record with customers.

Initially acheiving certification to BS5750 in 1987, TRL then made the transition to ISO 9001:1994. This was updated to ISO 9001:2000 and TickIT was added.

In recent years the quality management system and profile has been raised with the Head of Quality joining the Senior Management Team and introducing a Continuous Improvement programme through the company which has produced significant benefits.

In line with improving business practices, L-3 TRL is currently working towards ISO 14001 certification which is anticipated for Q2 2010 and towards the end of 2009 the business will be carrying out a feasibility study for OHAS 18001.
