Life-saving protection

The BROADSHIELD^® range can be used to fulfil the Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) carry forward role. The equipment can be rapidly formatted to cover threats from across the spectrum, forming a key part of the Improvised Explosive Devices Disposal (IEDD).

L-3 TRL’s BROADSHIELD^® equipment can be used for manual approaches or deployed using a Remote Controlled Vehicle (RCV), quickly taking control of the suspect RCIED away from the terrorist. This makes sure the RCIED, or any secondary devices, cannot be initiated when the Bomb Technician Operator is en route to the target.

Additional protection can be provided by a standard WBS fitted to the bomb disposal vehicle, creating a corridor of protection for the operator.
