The SMARTSCAN Manpack EW System (MEWS) is a lightweight, portable system designed for high performance spectrum surveillance and direction finding.

MEWS utilises a combination of lightweight, low power units that use software-defined radio and modular hardware techniques for maximum flexibility. This approach enables a true multi-role capability that can be easily tailored for specific applications, as well as providing easy upgradeability in the field – for man-portable, mobile or fixed site deployment.
