Members of local football team Tewkesbury Town Colts will be safer in the knowledge that life-saving apparatus is available at the side of the pitch now after they were presented with a defibrillator donated by Gloucestershire-based defence manufacturer L-3 TRL Technology at their football tournament on Saturday 7th June 2014.
Employees at L-3 TRL Technology have a close relationship with Tewkesbury Town Colts, with some of their children participating in the tournament which was held at Tewkesbury School Sports Centre, and the contribution was made after an employee nominated the team for the much needed defibrillator.
The annual football tournament is the third to be hosted by Tewkesbury Town Colts and involved teams from both Worcestershire and Gloucestershire leagues, including entries from girl’s teams for the 7 a-side matches.
“We are pleased we are able to support a local sporting club with a heritage as long as Tewkesbury Town Colts’ said Andrew Barnes, Vice President of Operations at L-3 TRL Technology and whom presented the defibrillator at the tournament. ‘By donating this defibrillator it should aid them in providing the best support to their members.”
