We're delighted to announce that Major General David Hook CBE, L-3 TRL Electronic Warfare BD Executive, will be speaking at DSEI this year.
His session titled ‘Understanding Future Operation Challenges: EW Support to the Littoral and Land environment’, is taking place in the East Theatre, Land Zone, North Hall at ExCeL, London at 15.30 on Tuesday 15 September.
The session will cover the future operational challenges and mega trends, with thoughts on the nature of the battlefield of the 2020s and the likely adversaries, exploring the challenges of equipping to meet this threat. David will look specifically at the role of EW in the littoral and congested land battle space and discuss how to deliver qualitative advantage through better informed decisions.

Major General David Hook CBE QCVS Royal Marines retired in July after 33 years of service. His career saw him deploy and command in every rank, and most notably at the latter end of his career undertook lengthy tours in Afghanistan in 2008/09 as Deputy Commander Regional Command (South) responsible for all operational matters, planning and executing the Afghan elections in the most difficult challenging security in the environment.
He returned in 2011/12 for a further 14 month operational tour where he worked closely in support of the Afghan government in their delivery of the Peace and Reconciliation process.
In between these challenging operational appointments he was one of the 5 x key 1 star officers in the MOD working at the heart of the Strategic Defence and Security Review.
He joined L-3 TRL Technology in late 2014, and works in the EW business unit where he is responsible for our Latin American and Littoral EW campaigns.
