ITAR/EAR Engineer

Summary of Position

To compile commodity jurisdiction cases and perform assessment of export compliance status for a range of electronic components and sub assemblies including completion of internal compliance paperwork. 

Main duties of this position

• Evaluate technical and commercial status of parts (ITAR, EAR UKML, USML etc.) and liaise with internal Export Compliance personnel  on export compliance issues
• Develop systems, tools and processes to achieve increased efficiency in the export compliance process

 

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

 

 

Essential:

• Experience (such as HND or above) of electrical/electronic engineering or related discipline
• Previous work experience in a Commercial or Export role
• Computer literate and proficient in the use of Microsoft Office tools
• Good communication skills – verbal, presentation and documentation
• Excellent organisational skills and highly self motivated
• Ability to collate, verify and record data from numerous sources
• A team player

 

Highly Desirable:

• Previous Commodity Jurisdiction/ECCN/USML experience
• Familiarity with electronic components and products
• Awareness of specifications and data sheets
• Experience of working in a small multi-functional team
