Richard Thurston spearheads UK’s Cyber Growth Partnership in the US

Richard Thurston, International Business Development Director for Global CATAPAN, is spearheading the UK’s Cyber Growth Partnership (CGP) in the US, exhibiting with UKTI at the RSA Conference, taking place in California from the 20th to the 24th April 2015.

The CGP is a UK initiative composed of representatives from academia, Government and industry, working on behalf of the wider industry to increase the export market and develop the UK’s cyber offering into overseas markets.

The US has long been a trusted partner of the UK, collaborating both at government and industry level to strengthen defences against the advancing cyber threat. The US is also our largest export customer, purchasing around $350m of cyber security capability from UK companies to create a pipeline which supports the growth of UK companies into international markets.

With an understanding of the operational need on both sides of the Atlantic, and a track record in cyber security development, Richard is perfectly placed as the CGP lead for the US market. Working on behalf of L-3 TRL, a leading provider of high end cyber security solutions to government, Richard speaks with real understanding on the technologies that can help defeat the common cyber threat.
