TRL successfully transitions to new international quality and environmental management standards

Following a recent assessment by BSI, TRL has been accredited against the new quality and environmental management systems, ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 respectively.

President and Chief Executive of L3 TRL Technology, Greg Roberts, said: “Our swift transition to the updated international standards for quality and environmental management will provide our customers and stakeholders with continued confidence in the way we operate our business to provide products and services that safeguard people, infrastructure and assets in the UK and around the world”.

Steve Hales, TRL’s Head of Delivery Assurance, said: “We were able to secure a successful transition to the new standards by placing the emphasis on our leadership team across the business to drive strategic improvements and sustained business performance adopting a risk and opportunity based thinking framework”.

The new standards were launched in 2015 with businesses expected to demonstrate successful adoption of the new standards by September 2018.

As well as the quality and environment management system standards, TRL is also accredited against the OHSAS 18001:2007 Occupation Health & Safety, ISO/IEC 27001:2013 Information Security, Cyber Essentials Plus and TickITplus standards.

TRL will now be working towards transitioning to the new international occupational health and safety standard ISO45001 due for release in early 2018 and PAS99 to gain the business benefits of a fully integrated management system framework.
